Berry Patch

A family-owned and operated no-spray fruit farm, located near Ashland, Oregon. Established in 1983.

About Our Farm

In 1983 our family relocated from Seattle, WA to Ashland, OR and purchased an 11-acre farm near Emigrant Lake. Over the years, we have grown many different types of fruits, produce, and livestock, but became known for our U-Pick blueberry patch, attracting hundreds of customers every summer from across the Rogue Valley.

Our focus is fruit! Many of our fruit bushes and trees are “old growth”, planted 30-40 years ago, resulting in hardy fruits and berries with incomparable depth of flavor. We also grow fresh herbs and fresh cut flowers.

We are a no spray farm, and employ only natural, sustainable, and organic growing methods. We also work in partnership with local beekeepers to house their apiaries on our land during the summer months. Their bees pollinate our crops, and our crops help create their stores of honey.

Blueberry U-Pick CLOSED

Due to climate change and Covid we have made the decision to close our summer blueberry U-Pick indefinitely. Our property is currently closed to the public. Thank you for almost 40 years of making us a part of your summer traditions. You can now find us and our produce at local growers markets, or contact us for direct sales.

Land Acknowledgement

Our farm is located on Shasta, Latgawa, Athabaskan, and Modoc indigenous homelands.

We acknowledge these peoples as the original stewards of this land, which was forcibly taken from them.

In our responsibility for the stewardship of this land, we are committed to sustainable farming practices, conservation and restoration of our ecosystems, and connecting with and investing in our local communities.

After the Rogue River Wars in 1856, these Tribes and others from surrounding areas were forcibly removed to the Siletz Reservation and the Grand Ronde Reservation. Today their descendants are now citizens of The Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Indians, The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, or The Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde.
